Call for Art
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Expressing ourselves through creative and artistic activities, support optimum wellness and have led to the creation of some of the world's most powerful works of art. We recognize the role of art and its ability to empower, heal, and support individuals along their mental health journey, and we encourage it as a form of self-expression that we would like to showcase.
We now welcome submissions to the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health 2023 Meet the Artist Exhibition in honor of May Mental Health Awareness Month. We ask that all emerging artists create or share an original work that represents and embodies the theme of mental health awareness or overall wellness, to share with our community.
Submissions are open to all mediums and any use of technology. Poetry is also accepted. Submissions close Friday, April 21.
Those whose artwork is selected, will be included in the online exhibition and the in-person exhibition at the San Bernardino County Museum on May 20-21, 2023. All are welcome to attend and support the participating artists.
