Eye of the storm

The figure depicted in this piece is laboring through the sea to get out of a nasty storm, to which she finally finds peace and safety in the eye of the storm. The journey is not over yet, but she has time to rest before she keeps going. This is symbolic of the tumultuous journey many of us take from chaos to sanity and peace of mind. My own journey out of my depression has often felt like trudging just to stay afloat, as I'm sure many can relate, but mental wellness is worth every effort expended. Just as that is so, the times when our minds and lives have ease helps us to move forward through the harder times, instead of give up.
