My anxiety angered me, I was upset that I was anxious all the time and refused to open up to anyone, even loved ones. Gardening became a metaphor for my mental health. People all have gardens in their minds, and some need help maintaining theirs. I found enough peace to seek help with my anxiety, and with this work I want others to feel encouraged to seek help if they need be. Whether it is a professional, friends, or family, we all need a little help sometimes with our gardens. I also wanted to convey that it is okay to cry, because crying is the first step of healing.
